Frequently Asked Questions
We accept virtually any video format — MP4, AVI, MOV, MKV, WMV, FLV, and more. If your old camcorder recorded it, we can process it.
Processing time depends on your video's resolution, length, and the enhancement steps needed. A typical 5-minute VGA video takes about 7 hours. You can use our Cost Calculator for precise estimates.
We charge per minute of GPU processing time — no subscriptions or monthly fees. The rate depends on the compute resources used to process your video. Here's how it works: when you approve a video, we show you an estimated cost based on your video's resolution and length. A payment hold (reserve) is placed via Stripe for the estimated amount plus a 20% safety buffer. Once processing completes and we know the actual GPU time used, we charge only the real cost and automatically refund any difference. You never pay more than the actual processing cost.
Yes! After processing, you'll see a watermarked preview of your enhanced video. Once you approve and the payment is confirmed, the watermark is removed and you can download the full-quality result.
Absolutely. Your videos are stored in a private, encrypted vault accessible only to you. We never share your content. Files are automatically deleted after 60 days, or you can delete them anytime.
Our AI upscales to 1080p (Full HD) or 4K depending on the source material. For very low-resolution inputs (such as old mobile clips or CIF), the AI will upscale the video by 3x or 4x so that it reaches at least a width of 1280px or a height of 720px to look sharp on modern screens. For standard inputs, it applies a 2x upscale.
Frame interpolation uses AI to generate new frames between existing ones, making choppy old footage (15-25 fps) look smooth at 60 fps. This is especially effective for old camcorder and VHS recordings.
Yes! That's our specialty. Upload a digitized capture of your VHS tape (you can use a capture card or digitization service), and our AI will handle deinterlacing, noise reduction, upscaling, and frame smoothing.
Our enhanced videos are delivered in high-quality HEVC (H.265) format to preserve maximum detail. Some operating systems, particularly Windows, may require a paid codec extension to play HEVC natively. If you encounter playback issues, we highly recommend downloading the free, open-source VLC Media Player (available for Windows, Mac, and mobile), which plays all high-fidelity formats natively without any extra extensions.
